Music has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. Starting with children's choir at church, open mics with Dad, and talent shows at summer camp, I became comfortable with performing very early.
Throughout school, I took every opportunity to sing and play trombone in groups including concert and jazz band, chamber choir, and eventually all-state choir and jazz choir.
Alongside these groups, I began practicing acoustic guitar and learning how to jam. Quickly, I found some friends to play with and eventually formed a real high school rock band!
Low Flying Airplanes performed regularly in our small town and competed in several Battle-of-the-Band competitions. In our two years together we produced two EPs and were crowned Maine's Best High School Band! Our music is still out there on Bandcamp.
College, parenting, and my gardening business took my focus for much of the following five years, but music was never far. Finding a home with Onward has been a dream come true, and I am so happy to be performing under the lights again.
